Where Warm Waters Halt
Green River Lake In Pinedale,Wyoming
Colorado River is alluded to as "Warm Waters" because Colorado river waters used to be RED
Spanish explorers named the river "Rio Colorado" which means colored river. The river was red because of the red silt or soil and mud that it carried down from the mountains
Green River becomes the major tributary of Colorado river as it forks at Canyonlands National Park,Utah . Green River Lakes halt at the northern most entrance of Wind River Range. So that's where warm waters halt. Idaho and Utah was included in the original search area but Forrest later narrowed down the search area to just four Rocky mountain states NM,CO,WY & MO
The poem need to be interpreted like an Abstract art ,because Forrest was an art dealer.
Abstract art uses a visual language of shape, form, color, and line to create a composition which may exist with a degree of independence from visual references in the world.
The first geographical location is Green River Lakes and after that you take the canyon right in front of it to home of Brown
